Hi ladies! I have been meaning to get this up for some time, so apologies for the late start! Let's just cut right to the good stuff and get to what you really came here for- what exactly should you be spending your hard earned money on with this annual sale!?! I'm sharing my top makeup, hair & of course, skincare picks below:
Top Makeup Picks:
Becca Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation
OMG this is good. If you want a lightweight foundation that will offer you coverage, get this! Love the packaging and easy to use pump too. It's like a CC cream but covers like a foundation and 1 pump does the trick but still leaves your skin glowing. I wear the color Noisette. Def worth every penny!
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops
Seriously a day doesn't go by where I don't mix this (specifically my fave shade which is Rose Gold) with whatever I'm wearing as my base. I love luminous skin and this gives you that perfect amount of sheen without feeling greasy or heavy. It combines so beautifully with whatever foundation or face product you're applying..even moisturizer. It doesn't clump, it's just so good!
Jouer Cosmetics High Coverage Concealer:
There hasn't been a concealer I've loved more than Tarte Shape Tape in quite some time..and It's a bummer that Shape Tape isn't sold at Sephora but have no fear because Jouer is here and OMG it's good! It's not only preferred (personally) over shape tape but it's hydrating without creasing. I go lighter on my foundation but want my concealer to really do the work for me so I don't mind full coverage. Literally a swipe covers your needs for the day and I love that I put it on and seriously it's one and done. I wear the shade Honey and unfortunately this is only sold online at the moment (I think).
Laura Mercier Transluscent Glow Setting Powder:
I'm gonna be real honest with you..I wasn't expecting much from this because the original translucent setting powder that everyone loves I'm not the biggest fan of. It gives me major flashback and I hate that! However, this is on a whole different level! It's so gorgeous and the angled brush (sold separately) is a must have too in life. Trust me, I'm a budget girl but these 2 are absolutely worth it. I don't use this to set my under eyes because it has a glow but for those that don't like using matte powder to set their face or a setting spray this works to keep makeup in place and gives off the most beautiful glow. The angled brush works beautifully to carve out that bomb highlight or even contour with (click the pic above to take you to the brush or I'll have it linked below too!)
Huda Beauty Topaz Obsessions Palette:
If you're a neutrals gal like me but just want a little push outside of your box, get this palette. It's gorgeous and that beautiful shimmery bronze (middle right) is beyond gorgeous as an entire lid color. It also reminds me of what's trending for fall/winter with the leopard prints we're seeing everywhere. It's beautifully pigmented and you can really play with it for day and night.
Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncuffed:
This is berry beautiful (I had too lol). But seriously, this range of liquid lip paints wears beautifully and the color uncuffed is gorgeous. Love it for the fall and you can wear it as a stain by blotting it on your lips with your finger or go in with a nice deep dose of color.
Sephora Collection Brush Set:
I usually don't care for brush sets as they don't all work for me but this set is so good. Every brush is useful and the bristles are sooo soft. The price point can't be beat either.
Top Hair Picks:
Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray:
This spray really delivers with giving you that extra oomph you need before blow drying. The shampoo and conditioner are so good too but I switch my shampoo & conditioner a ton so this is where I would spend your money. The dry texture spray is great too and leaves no residue.
Kerastase VIP Texture Spray:
So remember when Oribe came on the scene and was the end all be all of texture spray? Well this is definitely the new Oribe for me but the price point is way better. I've tried my fair share of texture sprays and I still love a few of the others but this one is a recent find and I'm in love. No white residue, smells good and works with just a spritz.
Ouai Wave Spray:
Loving this spray because it gives you the salty beach waves without the crunch. It also smells divine. Perfect with either scrunching wet hair or using a diffuser and tames frizz while adding undone waves. Bottom line: it's worth the hype!
Top Skincare Picks (saving the best for last!):
Kate Somerville Retinol Vita C Power Serum
Ok, so truth be told it's only been a few weeks of using this serum but so far SOO good. If you follow me on IG you know my 2 ultimate skincare must-haves are Retinol & Vitamin C. I have a few of each of these (some which I'll share below) but this combo is fierce yet gentle. Retinol helps fight wrinkles, improves skin texture & minimize pores. It's a miracle worker but can be reactive or harsh on sensitive skin. But this cream formula is really smooth and not irritating. Vitamin C helps brighten skin and even out skintone. Retinol should be used at night, and until recently, believed that Vitamin C should be used during the day. But now research shows that using it at night helps prepare your skin for the next day. So really it's a win-win to include in your nightly regiment. Like anything, try it out slowly maybe every other night to see how it goes. Also, no retinols if you're expecting or nursing!!
Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Camo Drops:
If you're looking for serum that color corrects you found your potion. It neutralizes redness while helping skin glow. I love putting this on in the am after a quick wash when I'm headed to work out and need that bit of coverage. It's almost like a primer and cc cream because it evens out skin tone while blurring imperfections. Centella asiatica extract helps to soothe irritated skin and a green antioxidant complex improves dull skin and helps fight environmental factors. Give this a try!!
Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Brightening Serum:
Anything that brightens and helps fatigued skin is right up my alley. My girl Deepica actually introduced this to me and it's been a must have since. It's infused with 15 percent ultra-stable, advanced vitamin C which rapidly brightens the appearance of the skin with immediate radiance, while fighting the look of dark spots and discolorations at the source. Vitamin C is a must in my skincare routine and this one is at the top of my list.
Beauty Bio GloPro Microneedling Set:
This microneedling tool helps take your skincare to the next level. I use this about 2-3x a week post cleansing and toner. It doesn't hurt at all but the little pricks that it makes in your skin helps wake you your skin cells up and work in overdrive to repair skin damage and cell turnover. So think if you have post acne marks or pitted textured skin, this helps rebuild that skin. It also helps fight wrinkles and minimizes pores and this is where I've seen the biggest difference. It also helps penetrate products better into your skin so just be sure the days you microneedle you don't use your retinol or vitamin c! Also, if you get professional microneedling done this is a great way to further enhance and maintain those results. Worth every penny!
Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream:
This was a favorite all throghout my 20's and I'm going back to it more and more these days. I keep it in the fridge for that extra cooling effect. But it helps depuff and keep skin the delicated eye skin hydrated like no other. Pro tip: take a tiny bit and rub it on your palm so it turns into an oil like texture then pat it onto your skin. A little goes a long way. This is also way more effective then applying a thick layer onto your skin. Basically make sure it's not green before applying. It's perfect for use under eye makeup, and the eye area is left softer, suppler, and more youthful-looking.
These are just a few of my favorite things from Sephora! Follow me on the gram to get a fill of my usual suspects other than these!! Happy shopping ladies!
