Recapping May
Grad Szn, Health Updates and Summer Finds!

Hey you!
I genuinely don't know how we got to June so quick, but somehow we're in grad szn already! 😭
I feel like there’s so much to recap from May!
This was one of those months where I kept mentally taking note of everything I need to tell the inner circle about: real health convos, my favorite moments from Mother's Day, graduation ideas, and of course, the products I've loved and want you to try
So settle in, grab your coffee (Or your rosé 🤪) and let’s catch up!
A Moment for Mom
This one makes my heart SO full, you guys! 🥹
My friend @tabithaqassom and I had been saying for what felt like forever "we should do something for our community." Not a brand event or a curated content day. But something that felt a bit more personal. A morning where moms could just walk in, sit down, and actually feel seen and celebrated.
We wanted to create that space. "A Moment for Mom" came to life with the help of @koparibeauty, who fully saw our vision and made it all possible!
The morning was everything we hoped it would be… connection and real conversations. Women in a room together who actually get what this season of life feels like, the beautiful parts, the hard parts, all of it. There was this energy in the room that I can't fully put into words, but I just feel so grateful.
I wore the softest, most perfect blue to match our theme: soft skies and seaside hues. See the full outfit here. 🩵

Grad Ideas for Class
My youngest graduated preschool this month.
If you have covid babies… you know this one hits different. 🥹
There's something about watching your kids hit milestones that forces you to reckon with time in a way nothing else does. At 44, I'm at this point where I know how fast it all goes. I've watched my older two grow iso quick that it still catches me off guard sometimes. So with my youngest, I'm just trying to be really present for all of it. Even the "small" ceremonies that don't feel small at all.
If your little one is hitting this milestone too, Amazon has the cutest little grad gowns in various colors! If you’re planning something for the class this will come so useful or even if you want one to take pictures with at home totally worth it. Find it here!

Let’s Talk Health Updates
Okay, if you're 45 (or approaching), I need you to really hear this: please go get screened.
I had my colonoscopy last month and it's not glamorous, to say the least. But I'm glad I did it! After sharing some thoughts on my stories, the response in my DMs was sooo supportive. So many of you are in exactly the same boat, either avoiding it or telling yourself you'll schedule it next month and continuing to push it back.
I know the prep sounds uncomfortable (it is, I won't lie), but here's your reminder that the uncomfortable things are usually the most important ones to do. Nobody tells you that colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when it's caught early, and it is highly treatable at early stages. At this age, our relationship with preventative health looks so different than it did in our 30s. We can't just assume everything is fine. We actually have to show up for ourselves.
Screening is now recommended starting at 45 for most adults, and the procedure itself is quick and you're typically fully sedated. I swear, it felt like I woke up from the best nap ever!! 😂😂
Things that helped me / things to expect:
The prep is the hardest part, so plan for a bathroom day/night
Chill the prep drink and use a straw if allowed
Clear liquids and hard candies can help during the prep phase (follow your doctor's instructions)
Avoid nuts, seeds, salads, and alcohol for several days before (timing varies by doctor)
You'll need someone to drive you home
The anxiety is usually worse than the actual procedure
Please don't put this off. Future you will be grateful. ❤️
Beauty This Month
Beauty Tips for Over 40
This one got saved more times than almost anything I've posted recently, and I completely get why.
I filmed a full makeup tutorial specifically focused on the small shifts that make a massive difference once you're on this side of 40.
Things like:
How liner placement changes.
Foundation application needs to adapt to
Learning about skin texture as we age.
How less truly is more in certain areas, and where to double down.
I covered all of it. All the products are shoppable at my Macy's, so you can grab exactly what I used. Watch the full tutorial here.
Taking Care Of Your Under Eyes
I’d seen this stick all over my explore feed and at first I was a skeptic. But this So d'alba Multi Balm Stick is the real deal!

The dryness I'd been dealing with around my under-eye area? Gone. The area looked plumper, smoother, and genuinely dewy not greasy, not heavy, just that healthy glow that makes you look like you slept eight hours even when you didn't. I did a full side-by-side in the reel so you can actually see the difference. It's available on Amazon and Ulta.
Root Touch-Ups
You guys know how much I love Madison Reed for my hair needs.
The Madison Reed root touch-up in shade 5N is seamless. It blends, it lasts, and it does not leave that flat, obviously dyed look that some at-home formulas give you.Your roots will thank you!
My Fave Looks For May
This look does all the talking for you. The draping on the black dress is so elegant, while the pop of red from the Chanel bag makes it statement piece. If you're heading to a wedding, cocktail party, or date night, this is proof that a classic black dress never misses.
This dress feels like summer 😍. The soft baby blue color is so fresh and feminine, and I love the halter neckline on this. I kept the accessories minimal with nude heels and delicate jewelry so the dress could really shine. Perfect for showers, weddings, vacation dinners!
Let's wrap it up here! Summer is only a couple of weeks away, and if life already feels this full, the next few months are going to fly by.
Between family, work, events, sports, celebrations, life feels busy in the best way. These newsletters have become one of my favorite ways to slow down for a minute and actually take it all in.
And before I go, I want to send a little extra love to all of the moms and families celebrating graduations right now. ❤️ Whether your child is graduating elementary school, high school, college, or taking the next big step in their journey, I know how emotional this season can be. Watching your kids walk across that stage after all the years of early mornings, practices, homework, car rides, and life lessons is such a special moment. If you're celebrating a graduate this month, congratulations. I hope you soak up every second of it!
